Echo examination is a device (probe) that transmits and receives ultrasonic waves is applied to the skin. also the jelly is applied to the skin to improve the movement of the device and the transmission of ultrasonic waves. It is basically a painless test, but it may press the skin if necessary.
There are three types of echocardiography that can be performed at this clinic: echocardiography, carotid artery echo, and lower limb echo. It is an examination that sends ultrasonic waves to the heart, neck, and lower legs, respectively, and displays the reflected signals from them as images.
1. Echocardiography
The test is used for diagnosis of organic lesions and cardiac dysfunction when heart disease / heart failure is suspected from subjective symptoms or physical findings.
2.Carotid echo
The risk of stroke, myocardial infarction, and angina increasing as arteriosclerosis progresses. This is a neck test that is used to evaluate the thickness of plaque and blood vessel walls.
3. Lower limb echo
The lower leg is examined to assess a blood clot in a vein deep in the foot. Deep vein thrombosis can cause pulmonary embolism.
* This test is no radiation, even pregnant women also applied.
